Follow Friday - to people who believe in good friday and follow the rules…please no nasty comments?
i will be going to mass tomorrow and fasting and not eating any meat, however i’ve had a bit to drink tonight and am about to eat…fish however,i know it’s late,do you think this is wrong…or should i act upon the followings of good friday when i wake up and treat it like a new day…and also what will you guys do to abstain, mines will be alcohol
You still have a free will and your idea of starting a new day tomorrow will probably be all right. I gave up alcohol 28 years ago, but will abstain from meat on Good Friday. I dont know what religion you follow, but if you know what they are, doing the Stations of the Cross is a good way to observe this solemn day.

no, it’s not wrong, just eat as lightly as you can,and continue the fast again tomorrow. remember, you don’t have to let yourself get too weak, so don’t feel guilty if you have to eat.

I’m not a great believer, but I do respect my mum, who is a devout Catholic. For her sake, I will be abstaining from eating meat. As it is already Good Friday, if I fancy a nibble, I would make sure that it was a meat free one, as I consider today to be Good friday, even though It’s actually the end of my Thursday….
